This is an initial guide, not a final specification. Ceiling height, glazing, insulation and how you use the room all change the answer. We confirm the exact output, and the right unit, during your free survey.

A modern heat pump does two jobs from one tidy system: it cools your home in summer and warms it in winter, drawing much of its energy from the outside air, so running costs stay low. The comfort is what you notice first. Looking after the air you breathe is what it quietly does all day.
Cleaner air, every day
As it circulates, the system filters the air in the room, catching dust and everyday particles for a fresher feel. Cleaner air can mean fewer headaches and less of that stuffy, tired atmosphere.
Kinder to allergies and asthma
Filtering and purifying the air reduces the pollen and dust carried around your home, which many allergy and asthma sufferers find makes a real difference through the seasons.
Balanced humidity, all year
Sticky summer air is dehumidified for easier breathing, while in winter the system helps keep damp, and the conditions mould needs, in check.

We install in all kinds of spaces and match the right unit to each one during your survey, from a single bedroom to a whole home.

Split wall-mounted
One indoor and one outdoor unit that both heat and cool. A popular, versatile choice for living rooms, bedrooms and conservatories, with a range of styles and colours.
Split floor-standing
Compact units positioned lower on the wall, ideal where a wall-mounted position is not practical. Can be semi-recessed, including into an unused fireplace.
Concealed ducted
A discreet system hidden above the ceiling, so only the controller and slim grilles are visible. Can be designed into a new build or fitted to an existing home.
Multi-room & garden rooms
Condition several rooms, a home office or a garden room from one system. Stylish, quiet units with Wi-Fi control and compatibility with smart home assistants.
What size system do I need?
The size of a system means its heating and cooling output, not the physical size of the unit. Output is measured in kilowatts (kW); you may also see BTU. Room area is the starting point, but ceiling height, insulation, glazing, sunlight and how the room is used all change it.

Does air conditioning provide heating as well as cooling?+
Yes. Modern reverse-cycle systems provide both, so the same system keeps a room comfortable in summer and warm in winter.
How much does it cost?+
It depends on the system, the number of rooms, the equipment and any electrical work. After a free survey we give you a clear, fixed written quotation with no obligation.
What size unit will I need?+
It depends on room size, ceiling height, insulation, glazing, sunlight and how the room is used. As a rough guide, homes need around 0.1 kW per square metre, but we confirm the exact output at survey. You can try our size guide above.
How long does an installation take?+
A straightforward single-room system usually takes between half a day and a full day. Multi-room and whole-home systems take longer, and concealed ducted installations longer still.
Can one unit heat and cool my whole home?+
It depends on the layout. One unit can suit a large open-plan space, but separate rooms normally need their own indoor units or a ducted system for consistent comfort.
Will I need electrical work?+
The system needs a suitable electrical supply. Some work may be needed if your consumer unit does not have spare capacity or a new dedicated circuit is required. We check this during the survey.
